Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive therapeutic technique that focuses on the rhythmic pulse of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which surrounds the brain and spinal cord. The cerebrospinal fluid flows through the craniosacral system, providing nourishment and protection to the central nervous system. This therapy is based on the concept that the body's craniosacral system—comprising the membranes, fluid, and bones of the head, spine, and sacrum—can become restricted or imbalanced, leading to physical discomfort and dysfunction.

The therapy involves light touch from a trained practitioner, who uses their hands to monitor and gently manipulate the craniosacral system. This light pressure helps to detect areas of restriction or imbalances in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, which can result from physical trauma, stress, or tension. By releasing these restrictions, craniosacral therapy encourages the restoration of balance and promotes the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
